no don't give up. this is a good friendship. i mean a friendship that has already blossomed in to soemthing more intimate suggests that you two have some kind of an attraction even if you are better off as friends. just give her some time, maybe a little space... and try not to make it awkward. just be your usual self and see how she responds...
