What gives-3?

He shows a lot of signs for liking me and very thoughtful comments. But still hasn't asked me out. It's been 2 months. They say that guys will ask you out if they are into you. And he walks me to my car when I see him at a social gathering everyweek - so, he couldn't be that shy to ask me out. I wonder if he's into me or not? He sure is so nice and attentive when I see him. But he's hasn't even asked me out on a official date. so, I don't want to look like I just know he likes me. but I really like him so far.
