Having just watched Diehard 4.0 do you like me agree that....?

There really was a lot of damage. Warlock... that part was definitely funny. Some of the stunts were too out there though. When he was in the tunnel and drove the car up and jumped out of the car leading it to go straight to the toll booth and used it as a ramp to destroy the helicopter.. very clever but so unlikely.
