When we contact any artist to perform at fundraising party, any parties or concerts why is it too expensive?

Concerts are always expensive because the celebrity artists ask exhorbitant prices for their performance. If you invite novices they perform equally well and charge less price for the events. I attended one party wherein they invited a singer and he performed very well for a reasonable price. Its all in the bargaining
