Acetone-Recrystallization?

Chemmmmi, Acetone is a popular solvent, we use about 8.2 x 10^8 kg annually. It is easily formed by the oxidation of secondary alcohols, and is a by-product of phenol and propane production. It is very useful in the manufacture of drugs, explosives, chloroform and many other chemicals. It is a solvent for the plastic and rubber industries, very useful for removal of varnishes, paints, oils, waxes etc. It is a volatile, highly flammable liquid with a boiling point of 56.5*C and its flash point, in a closed container, is a very low -18*C (0*F) that further increases its dangerous, explosive potential.
