I live in Alpharetta, GA, just outside Atlanta. I am thinking of getting a female kitten and have 3 questions?

1) Can anyone recommend a good vet that doesn't charge an "arm and a leg" in my vicinity? AND 2) what is a reasonable fee for spaying a young (6 month-old) kitten. I have heard it can cost upwards of $250 to $300 (ouch !!) at local vets .... and then there is a low-cost PET VET, INC. clinic in ming GA that would charge only $65. -- so here comes my final question: 3) Why the huge difference? I certainly don't want to put the sweet little girl in jeopardy, but a difference of over $200 makes me wonder ... ??
